NO KINGS 3 – March 28th 2026

In 2025, millions of Americans came together in nonviolent protest to affirm a simple truth: this country belongs to its people — not to kings.

What started in March 2025 with 20 protesters In Lake Oswego, has seen the numbers of protesters grow to around 3000 during major protest. U4D movement is growing.

Our weekly peaceful actions continue to expand, uniting a broad community committed to democracy and nonviolence. With No Kings Day on March 28, we are preparing for our largest mobilization yet, with thousands expected to attend.

This is a defining moment — and everyone has a role to play in standing up to authoritarian rule. Democracy is not protected by a few leaders; it survives when ordinary people show up together. Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring your neighbors. Visibility matters. Peaceful presence matters. Your participation matters.

We will be sharing some additional information from U4D and Indivisible as we get closer to March. Please take a moment to look at U4D core principles at this link

HUGE THANK YOU to our Community!

Award Winning 2014 Historical Drama – SELMA

We extend our sincere gratitude to everyone who attended and supported our recent two-night fundraising event featuring Selma, an insightful movie set in 1965, which follows Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and countless everyday heroes as they courageously join together to demand equal voting rights for all Americans. Through determination, community, and unwavering hope, the march from Selma to Montgomery sparked real change and helped lead to the historic Voting Rights Act.

We sold out our showing, with over 80 total attendees participating in meaningful discussions following the film and supporting our basket raffles.

We wish to express our deep appreciation to the Lake Theater & Cafe in Lake Oswego for their generous donation of their facility. Their partnership was instrumental in making this event possible.

Thank you for contributing to an inspiring evening of learning, community, and shared purpose.

OPERATION INFLATION

Operation Inflatables joined us at U4D Saturday Visibility Event 1/3/26

Comical Inflatables Help Reinforce the Peaceful Nature of Protests At local protests, OperationInflation.com distributes free costumes to demonstrators. Next Saturday, January 10, they will be sharing free inflatables to participants in the weekly Unite 4 Democracy-Lake Oswego/State Street visibility events. Participants can return or keep the costumes to wear at future protests.

Why wear a funny frog or other comical costume during a serious event? Because President Trump and his supporters have falsely claimed that the Portland area’s peaceful demonstrations are violent. Based on his falsehoods, Fox News even showed video of burning and violence in downtown Portland from many years ago–claiming it was part of the peaceful protests against the current Trump administration.

Jordy Lybeck, who formed Operation Inflation with his wife Lacy, says, “We are doing this so we can disrupt the fiction making that the Fascist regime requires in order to do the things they want to do….[For example] making people believe Portland is a war zone.

“We give out inflatables so that we can change the backdrop of the scene, so instead of us becoming pawns in their fiction, we can set the stage…and take control of the narrative. Wherever we think it is effective to deploy that kind of strategy, we’re going to want to be there.”.

In addition to demonstrating the peaceful nature of the current protests, Jordy says that wearing inflatables gives people hope, inspires creativity. and ridicules a weak regime.

“We appreciate Operation Inflation’s willingness to support Unite 4 Democracy’s efforts to flip Trump’s false narrative,” says Linda Zimmerman, one of the organizers of Unite4Democrary.org. “We want to raise awareness about the importance of peacefully protesting the current regime’s violent, war-centric, anti-Constitutional rhetoric. We invite anyone who wants to help reinstate democracy to join us each Saturday from 10-11 a.m.”

Each costume represents a $35 donation by another member of the peaceful movement community.
